TICKETS ON SALE APRIL 6! Senior Fun Fest 2026
March 25, 2026
Are you ready for serious fun?
TARCOG is preparing for an Older Americans Month celebration to remember with a Homecoming-themed Senior Fun Fest this year. Think pep rallies, tailgating, and lots of nostalgic fun.
This year’s 39th annual event will be on Tuesday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Alabama A&M Agribition Center, 4925 Moores Mill Road in Huntsville.
Tickets will go on sale April 6.
Advance tickets are $5 and may be purchased at any senior center or Council on Aging office in DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison and Marshall counties by April 24.
Additionally, advance tickets will be available for purchase at the new TARCOG office at 4976 Corporate Drive NW, in Huntsville.
Starting April 25, and on the day of the event tickets will be $7.
“Our homecoming theme is going to really dig into nostalgia as we will tailor our music, decorations, and contests to the decades ranging from the 1930s through the 1980s,” said TARCOG Executive Director Michelle Gilliam Jordan. “This is a big day for our aging community.”
Fun Fest is sponsored annually by TARCOG and the Madison County Commission, with ticket sales and other local businesses also providing financial support to offset costs.
What happens at Fun Fest?
A pre-event pep rally will be held between 9 and 10 a.m., as participants arrive to let everyone show their spirit before the festivities begin.
After a short welcome ceremony at 10 a.m., activities get underway like BINGO, a photo booth, music and live entertainment. This year there will be a car show and other fun games and activities. Service providers from throughout the region will be there to provide information and giveaways. A boxed lunch will be served and free snacks like soft drinks, water, popcorn and nachos will also be available throughout the event. Door prizes will also be given out.
