Request for Proposals – Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) Implementation Project – Redstone Arsenal

The Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) is seeking proposals from firms and individuals to implement key recommendations identified in the Redstone Arsenal Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) between the Arsenal and its surrounding communities. The Redstone Arsenal JLUS process focused on promoting compatible community growth around the installation to preserve military capabilities. A primary goal of Redstone Arsenal’s JLUS is to mitigate existing and prevent future incompatibility issues between base operations and local communities.  The JLUS implementation project seeks to work towards enacting key compatible use recommendations identified during the JLUS process.

Division F Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan – Final Draft Available for Public Comment

The Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG), in partnership with North Central Alabama Council of Governments (NARCOG), and the County Emergency Management Agencies (EMAs) of Blount, Cherokee, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, and Morgan Counties have developed the final phase of the Division F Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Division F Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan details the multitude of hazards that impact the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) Division F area.

Request for Statements of Qualifications – Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy – Research, Development, Analysis, and Planning Support

The Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) hereby solicits written Statements of Qualifications from professional consulting firms interested in contracting with TARCOG to perform research, analysis, development, and related professional planning support activities associated with the development of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the TARCOG region (DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison & Marshall Counties).

Request for Statements of Qualifications: Environmental Assessments, Remediation, and Planning

The Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) hereby solicits written Statements of Qualifications from professional environmental consulting firms interested in contracting with TARCOG to perform grant management activities, environmental assessments, remediation and redevelopment planning, and related professional activities associated with the 2021 Brownfields Coalition Assessment Grant recently awarded to TARCOG by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
