Picnic Scottsboro June 2018


On June 26, TARCOG held its annual picnic, followed by the June Board meeting.  Mayor Robin Shelton welcomed Board members, elected officials, TARCOG staff, and guests from across the region to Scottsboro.  Jackson County Commission Chairman Mike Ashburn made arrangements for the meeting at the Council on Aging building there.  Almost 100 people attended the […]

Tax Credit Seminar

Historic Preservation Tax Credit Seminar

On June 15, Senator Arthur Orr convened a seminar in Decatur on Historic Preservation Tax Credits, designed to help elected officials, planners, developers, and homeowners understand how they might take advantage of the Credits here in Alabama.  The Seminar was co-sponsored by TARCOG, NARCOG, and NACOLG, and was attended by close to 100 people.
